I live and work at Carita Beach, about 45km from Anak Krakatau. I see many tourists, backpackers etc coming through here looking frazzled and disappointed. This is not a true travel story per se but is intended merely to pass on information about this region, where to stay, where not to stay and general news so as to help any future travellers planning to come here to see Anak Krakatau or to see the rare rhinos.
