Kuala Ganda Elephant Sanctuary
So when my sister was here with her family for the summer holidays last June, this was one of the places I had to bring them to. It was a fun filled day trip. Not just the children, but the adults, me included, had a wonderful time.
Entrance to the sanctuary is free (though donations are most welcome). Passes for rides are limited, so be early. Bring a change of clothes and be prepared to get wet. Park activities start at about 2.00 p.m. local time.
Sorry, you may not get to see any wild elephants. The elephants at the sanctuary are trained Thai and Burmese elephants used by the Elephant Capture & Translocation Unit of the Department of Wildlife and National Parks, Malaysia.

to joyful: the elephants are well behaved. when u ride them in the river, they follow their minders instructions and take a dip with all the riders on them. it's fun.......
to deena & ykev: u'll not regret it. while there, do also visit the deerland park - a private zoo - about 5 km from the sanctuary.
