Deeland Park, Kuala Ganda

The Deerland Park is about 5km from the Elephant Sanctuary and is an ideal place to visit while waiting for the elephant activities to begin at 2.00 p.m.

The proprietor is one Mr. Abdullah, a nice, friendly, jovial chap who is very passionate about his animals.  It is an interactive zoo, where you get to feed and handle the animals.  The food is provided by the zoo itself.  The animals also don't look too stressed out as they seem at the National Zoo in Kuala Lumpur.

The staff are friendly and the proprietor will himself take you on a tour of the place, if he is not too busy.

Entrance is only RM5.00 for adults and RM3.00 for children below 12.  Donations are always welcome - there are separate donation boxes for the animals and staff.

With the fun we had visiting the park, we could not help but dig into our pockets.

Hope your visit will be as fun as ours if not more.

We have a kind of deerland; one in Bogor and one in the middle of Jakarta, National Monument area. But different concept, obviously. We can't interact directly with the deer... I believe those deer got stressed.

I saw the deer park in Monas, Mbak... poor deer, those busy roads are too noisy for them
