Banten is one of the youngest provinces in Indonesia. Famous areas with long coast line, Anyer and Carita beaches are two most favorable places to visit during holiday. Beside the two spots, there is a captivating beach in this land, Tanjung Lesung.

Tanjung Lesung Beach is situated at Tanjung Jaya village, Panimbang, Pandeglang. It’s about 160 kilometers away from Jakarta – the capital city of Indonesia. The name “Tanjung Lesung” is taken from the place’s shape which looks like a “lesung”. It’s a farmer’s traditional tool to pulverize rice.

The seashore has been focused by the Government as marine visit destination for domestic and international tourists. Facilities and infrastructure development on this spot is continuing enormously.

Splendid panorama can be found in here, white sand spreads along the 15 kilometers length coast. As the beach is quite large, visitors can do various activities such as playing beach volley ball, football, and relaxing. Visitors who are interested to observe coral reefs, a marine conservation where located in the middle of the sea, will enlarge their horizon by learning coral reefs transplantation under water.

How to get there

From Jakarta, the first route passes by Serang Timur gate from Jakarta-Merak highway. Then, continue the trip to Labuan, Pandeglang; then you will arrive at Tanjung Lesung beach. The second route passes by Cilegon Barat gate, through Anyer-Carita beaches to reach Labuan, then arrive at Tanjung Lesung Beach.
