Serayu River: A Challenge for Stream Riders

The rafting arena is categorized as a quite tough river. Many athletes come to this place since in 1979; this location held National Rafting Championship. When other rivers have minimum water level or even zero during the dry season, Serayu keeps on alive and flows to bring strong stream, rapids, holes, and fun. The water itself is on class II-IV but in wet season, when rain falls all day, the river has class V at the whole of its section. At the first part, the lower section is a popular commercial rafting track (class II-III rapids) with starting from Boja to Siongomerto village dam. The other part is the upper section with more challenging waves.
There is a favorite spot for professional rafting, three meters wide of path that from class IV drop and it becomes harder during the flood. People named it as Gate. The visitors who come to this real river adventure are commonly local tourists. The challenges will burn up every explorer on most danger stream in
Saturday and Sunday are mostly full with groups to join there. The cost is affordable enough. The range price starts from 165.000 rupiah for domestic visitor and 350.000 rupiah for International visitor. Those prices included complete package; such as boat, guide, meals, certificate and life-vest.
