Plengkung: Secreted Surfing Paradise

Located in Indonesia, the blissful beach line spoils those surfers from around the world with those perfect shaped waves, clear blue water, white sand, and bright sky. The dream-like scenery is there, lies in a rural area of East Java District.

Those big waves from the Indian Ocean attract many surfers to this remote place. International surfing competition had been held here. Over 30 years, the G-land--a given name from those surfers-- offers the world's most demanding surfing sport and recommended for professional surfers only. It has extreme waves of three to four meters high, ideal size to perform their style. Some surfers around the world even consider the breathtaking beach as the best surfing paradise in the world.

Squarely, the Plengkung or G-land is located in the south coast of Banyuwangi, East Java, on territorial of Alas Purwo National Park. The name of G-land has been spread among the surfers. The "G" in "G-Land" derives from Grajagan, the name of the bay where the huge waves were found at the south of the Banyuwangi. It is surrounded by virgin tropical forest.

The best time to surf is May – October.

The Discovered of  Plengkung

They were Jerry Lopez and Bobby Radiasa, and then, they set up a surf camp in this hidden heaven. They proposed their place to be the world surfer's destination at Bobby's surf camp as the original camp at G-land.
